We offer a full range of gas fitting services including gas appliance installation and replacement, gas line installation and repairs, gas meter relocation, leak detection and repair, and installation of gas hot water systems. All gas work is carried out by our licensed gas fitters to the required Australian standards, covering both natural gas and LPG systems.
Yes. Under Australian law, all gas fitting work including connecting, disconnecting, and installing gas appliances must be carried out by a licensed gas fitter. This applies to everything from cooktops and ovens to gas heaters and hot water systems. Attempting to connect or modify gas appliances yourself is illegal and can be extremely dangerous. Our licensed team handles it all safely and compliantly.
The most common signs of a gas leak are the smell of rotten eggs or sulphur near a gas appliance or fitting, a hissing sound coming from a gas line, dead or discoloured patches of grass or vegetation above underground gas pipes, or an unexplained increase in your gas bill. If you suspect a gas leak, leave the property immediately, avoid using any switches or open flames, and call your gas supplier and a licensed gas fitter as soon as possible.
Yes. Conversions between LPG and natural gas are a common job and must be done by a licensed gas fitter. The process involves adjusting or replacing the burner jets and pressure regulators inside the appliance to suit the different gas type. It's not a DIY job, and an incorrectly converted appliance can be both inefficient and unsafe. We carry out conversions to manufacturer specifications and issue the relevant compliance documentation on completion.
Yes. We can run new gas lines to properties that don't currently have gas connected, whether that's extending an existing line to a new appliance location or completing a full gas installation from the meter. We manage the full process including the necessary compliance certificates so everything is signed off correctly before the gas is commissioned.
After completing any gas fitting work, we carry out a full pressure test on the system before it's commissioned. This involves isolating the gas line, applying pressure, and checking for any drop that would indicate a leak. We don't sign off on any gas work until the system has passed this test. You'll also receive a compliance certificate for all work completed, as required under NSW gas fitting regulations.
